Are there any travel restrictions for USA? Yes, as British Citizens you will need to obtain an ESTA (https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/). We would strongly recommend that you get your ESTA approved before booking anything. We would also recommend that you obtain adequate travel insurance for your trip.
Do we need to book the same flights and hotel? Not at all! 😊 We’re just sharing our flight details in case you’d like to travel together, but there’s absolutely no pressure to do the same. If you would like to come for a longer or shorter trip, of course that is fine too! As for the hotel, we chose the MGM Grand because it’s affordable, iconic and in a good location with a fun and lively vibe. It’s not right in the center of the Strip, so it gives you a bit of space to escape the chaos, while still being close to everything. It also works well for our group, whether you're into relaxing, shopping, gambling, partying or just exploring. It’ll also make planning group activities (like the wedding!) a lot easier. Please feel free to stay wherever suits you best!
How will I get to the hotel from the airport? Las Vegas airport is really close to the hotel and you can grab a taxi at a flat rate of $21.
What will the weather be like? Based on 2025's October, the weather should range from 20°-32° throughout the day, so it should be warm. It is always a good idea to bring a light jacket for the evenings, just incase.
How much spending money will I need? Everybody is different and so budget will depend highly on what you want to do, whether you will gamble, where you eat, whether you will go shopping etc. Daily budget can range from $150-$1000 per person per day. Please bear in mind that you will need to pay resort fees locally which is approximately $50 per room, per night (approx. £270 for 7 nights). Breakfast is not usually included either.
Wedding FAQs
Can I bring a guest to the wedding? We have a limited number of spaces, so please speak to us if you feel strongly about this.
How will we get to the ceremony? We have organised a shuttle bus to take us to the ceremony before our fun activities begin.
What is the dress code? Party Glamourous! Think cocktail attire with a glamorous Vegas party twist. You can add some glitz to your outfit if you wish, completely up to you. We want you to look the part but, most importantly, feel comfortable, so choose shoes you can dance the night away in!
What time does the wedding finish? On the wedding day, the official end time will be 10pm, however we plan to head to Fremont Street for more fun, drinks and of course gambling.
Can we bring our children? We hope you understand that our wedding is an adults-only event.
Can we give you a wedding gift? Your presence is more than enough, but if you’d like to, a small contribution to our honeymoon would be really appreciated.
I can't attend No worries at all, we completely understand! Vegas is a big ask, whether it’s the travel, the cost, time off work, childcare or just life doing its thing. So think of this as a no-pressure invite. we just wanted you to know you were thought of. Please do still RSVP if you cannot make it, so we know not to wait for your response. There will be a UK party where everyone’s welcome, so we ’ll definitely have a chance to celebrate together.
